Folks—if you have been interested in investing here but have procrastinated, debated and waited now is the time to get off the fence, preserve your wealth and prosper! Costa Rica is not only a safe harbor from Hurricanes but we have also been protected from the battering of the recent financial storm that has hit the U.S. Why? Historically Costa Rica has avoided deep investments in Wall Street funds. Instead, it has invested in what it knows works. Low-risk, long term investments like Wal-Mart, Proctor and Gamble, Colgate, Intel and U.S. treasury bonds. For a supposed “third world country” they have sure made some good decisions. A lot of the clients I work with take advantage of tax free rollovers from existing retirement accounts into self-directed IRA’s. This and other 1031 like plans can give you peace of mind knowing you can invest in what you know will be safe and earn you money. In quite a few past correspondences with clients I have encouraged them to invest in something they have direct control over. I am no financial guru but in light of the recent happenings it is proven that to trust others with these important decisions is a truly risky venture! Success is a choice and can’t be left to chance. We have had several clients purchase lots without ever having been to Costa Rica! These are people who keep their fingers on the pulse of international opportunities and we offer one of the best opportunities in the world. Just ask our friends at International Living—we are regular seminar speakers at their conferences throughout the world.

Our new world class arena and equestrian center
In Costa Rica horses have been an important part of life and society for generations. We intend to keep that tradition alive! Even if you are not a horse lover yet it would be hard not to want to at least try taking a long beautiful ride over the mountains and thru the streams here at Grand View and deep into the majestic
Talamanca Range. Expert or novice, birdwatcher or hiker, fun and adventure await. We will also have huge pool, Jacuzzi, lake and rodeo arena. The under roof training arena will be one of the countries best, enabling year round training and great shows. A leisurely winding path will take you to one of our most spectacular waterfalls where you can enjoy a picnic lunch listening to the soothing sounds of the tumbling water cascading into deep blue pools.
Caribbean Adventures
As a PADI scuba instructor one of the reasons I moved to Costa Rica is to enjoy year round diving. If I never dive a 50 degree quarry again I will be ok with that! The water temperature is usually a balmy 84 degrees. My wetsuits are collecting dust.(and shrinking?) The Caribbean side is very diverse and holds something for everyone—Manatees and Dolphins and plenty of Caribbean Reef fish. You can shore dive or check out one of the local dive shops. I will be starting some tours of the local Limon area in the near future. A sign of the great positive growth in this area is the new dive shops—three new ones in the last few months! One of my favorites is Punta Uva dive center. Punta Uva is rated as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. In characteristic Caribbean laid-back fashion you can just walk into the dive center at any time—say 1:30 in the afternoon and ask to be taken out for a 1 tank dive and they will do their best to accommodate you. With all new equipment and plenty of instructors around this is a great choice for your diving needs. Just tell Luca’s that Gill sent you! www.puntauvadivecenter.com
Phase 3 is open!
Our Rolling Hills Phase 1 is sold out and quite a few lots in phase 2 have been sold although we still have a couple very nice lots available for only $48,500. Everyone who has toured Grand View has felt the project is even better than they had hoped for and the prices can’t be beat!
The topographer has recently finished his work in phase 3 our road is cut in. Phase 3 consists of 32 lots and on average these are large 2 acre parcels. There is a nice variety of lot layout and almost all lots have stream frontage
Typical Stream Front Costa Rica’s topography is varied, this is one of the aspects that adds a uniqueness not to be found anywhere else. It also provides a selection of lots to suit different tastes and desires. Please Contact me for more information on Special Lot pricing and unique features.
In the news Costa Rica Forever- President Oscar Arias and two environmental organizations are lining up the first $50 million of what they hope will be an $80 million endowment to help preserve many of Costa Rica’s beautiful natural areas in perpetuity. Costa Rican Windmills- Twenty-eight new windmills rise along the skyline of a wind-swept ridge in the northwestern province of Guanacaste. The Wind Power Project of Guanacaste aims to double the country’s wind power production with 55 new windmills. Costa Rica is striving toward a goal of producing all of it’s electricity from clean energy. Plans for marina scrapped- Plans for a controversial marina in the Caribbean waters of Puerto Viejo have been called off. Because of the harm to the local environment that would have been caused the vocal opposition of local residents chalks up a win! Opponents said the marina would have destroyed local legendary surf breaks, including the internationally known “Salsa Brava”. It also would have done irreparable harm to the offshore coral reef.
